DESCRIPTION:Join us in the tasting room at Blenheim Vineyards and meet the artist\, Richard White on Sunday\, July 26th from 2-4pm. His artwork will be on display and available for purchase. \nWe will have snacks and wine for sale by the glass\, bottle\, and flights. \nPhotography has become one of the main ways Richard White connects with the world around him. Based in Richmond\, he spends much of his free time with a camera in hand. \nAfter 12 years in Virginia\, he enjoys photographing the region’s cities\, small towns\, rural roads\, quiet landscapes\, and dark skies. Along the way\, photography has also helped him meet people\, form friendships\, and share the experience of exploring new places. His work is shaped by curiosity and the simple act of slowing down to notice scenes that might otherwise be overlooked.  \nRichard works mostly with film\, using 35mm\, medium format\, and large format cameras to photograph landscapes at a slower\, more deliberate pace. Developing and scanning his own film is an important part of his process and keeps him connected to each image from the moment it is made. When photographing after dark\, he works digitally to capture the detail and scale of the night sky.

While her work today centers around documenting love stories and adventurous  elopements. Her passion for photography began with a fascination for the outdoors and the beauty found within it. Through her photography\, Nichole strives to preserve not only the beauty of the landscapes she encounters\, but also the emotions they inspire. Her images invite viewers to slow down\, explore\, and experience the magic of the world through her lens.

DESCRIPTION:Join us in the tasting room at Blenheim Vineyards and meet the artists\, Virginia Rieley & Eliza Evans. Sunday\, November 29th from 2-4pm. Their artwork will be on display and available for purchase. \nWe will have snacks and wine for sale by the glass\, bottle\, and flights. \nEliza Evans & Virginia Rieley grew up in North Garden near Charlottesville and have been friends since childhood. They have collaborated artistically (in addition to their respective solo endeavors) for over 35 years. \nEliza Evans has been painting acrylic portraits from life for over 20 years. It takes her about an hour and she usually paints people in one sitting. Each face is unique and worthy and Eliza does her best to catch the spirit and likeness of the person in an efficient way so it doesn’t become boring or uncomfortable. She prefers to paint on wood and she lets the model pick the background color. \nVirginia Rieley is a mixed media collage artist who combines her own original photography with watercolor and pen to create layered scenes of local places. \nTogether\, Eliza and Virginia co-create the Every Day is a Holiday Calendar\, which they have self-published each year since 2006. The calendar is entirely hand-drawn and features a different holiday for every day of the year\, along with both of their original artwork.
